US Immigration from India

Hi All,

I have few questions regarding sponsoring prospective spouse to US with kid from India. I am a USC, naturalized US citizen formerly an Indian.

She is from a small town from India, and she somehow doesn't have birth certificate (its unheard of nowadays for people to not have official Birth cert in India aswell). Even though she is a graduate (bachelors degree), worked in Banks, and she had travelled to middle east, she is a divorcee. I am not married or engaged to her yet, but I want to make sure there are no issues in future for her to join me in US.

1) Would any alternates work in place of Birth Certificate (for Indians) ?

2) What is the process to bring wife's kid (step kid for me), additional documentation needed (for Indians)?

Hi, N400 interview is scheduled in Yakima office in Aug 2022 ( I applied in Sep 2021) instead of Seattle office. I live in Redmond area. Can others who were in the same situation and completed their interviews please share if Yakima office administers oath same day and gives your certificate or do they ask us to come back to Yakima for Oath at later date?

Hi, we are filing I-130 petition and in one of the questions, it is asking "At which USCIS office will the beneficiary apply for adjustment of status to lawful permanent resident?" We are filing in Oregon and are not sure which USCIS location to choose here. If anyone can please help or guide on which USCIS location to apply to and mail all our documents, that would be really helpful. Thanks in advance.

My wife needs to travel out of country and her N-400 Application is still pending. Her I-751 Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence is also pending. Her NOA extension expires at the end of August 2022. USCIS shows an estimated time of 5 months (December 2022) for case decision. She needs to travel abroad in October with my 5 month old daughter. Is this possible, or does she have to wait until either I-751 or N-400 status changes?
