My partner & I wish to get married soon so she can change her status to a green card holder as soon as possible because she is unable to switch jobs on her current H1-B status. I see the K-1 Visa is for engaged partner overseas and CR-1 is for married partner overseas, but I'm confused what Visa Application is apt for engaged/married partner currently on a different visa status residing in the US itself.

That said, what does the timeline look like for K-1/CR-1/Other Visas? Will it be quicker to get engaged and apply or get married and apply? Also, will my partner get an EAD allowing her to be employed independently before her green card arrives?

Apologies for so many questions, I recently got naturalized and this has been something we need in our lives rather urgently. Any help is greatly appreciated!

N400 Unclear on answer (Date your current spouse became a U.S. citizen) ?

Hello,

I am stuck filling out the N400 online (under the 3 rear rule) on the question - [ Date your current spouse became a U.S. citizen? ]. My wife became a US Citizen through the naturalization of both her parents (Under the age of 18) and she doesn't know the date she became a USC.

Her parents did not file N600 for her as they were probably unaware of that process! And applied for her passport based on her father's naturalization certificate. I red a few posts regarding this on VJ, but didn't get clarity on this. My confusion is what date should I put, and what evidence should I provide?

1) Date of her Passport?

2) Date of her father's Naturalization certificate?

Thanks in advance for any help regarding this!

I'm U.S. citizen and my husband has his Interview for the CR-1/IR-1 visa in Mumbai India this March. We would like to begin paperwork to bring his children from India to U.S. now also.

The 23 year old was within the 21 years or younger qualification when we began filing for husband visa, so is there an exception then?

Could someone please provide what forms/process we need to do for them since he will obtaining Green Card to U.S. soon?

We did include them on the "children" shown on I-130.

I found this link:

Bringing Children, Sons and Daughters to Live in the United States as Permanent Residents | USCIS

If I understand correctly, we complete I-130 and I-864 (same as we did for my husband) - correct?

Thank you kindly for any help you may offer. We really appreciate it.

I apologize if this question has already been asked - I tried searching for reply in the Forum and didn't see anything.

We just received this week notice of Interview in Mumbai for March and every time we go to the following website, it indicates that there is already a Profile for my spouse. We have already indicated several times now that we don't know of any other username/profile but maybe we did early i the stages (unknowingly) so could they provide the username and then we can reset password OR to delete the other profile/username. They keep saying the case is resolved (they deleted the other profile) and yet we still receive the same exact error.

www.ustraveldocs.com

This is the specific ERROR we keep receiving:

Your personal details match a profile which already exists in our database. The User ID of that profile is '{user_name}'. If you created this profile in the past and forgot the password, please use the 'Forgot your password?' function on the login screen. If this user name isn't familiar to you, please contact our helpline through the Provide Feedback option in the left menu or by sending an email to our helpline. Please don't forget to attach the scanned copy of your passport's data page to your feedback message/email.

Yes, I tried typing in {user_name}' to see if that would allow us to reset password - no success.

Any other thoughts on how to get this resolved? Maybe we can call or email to schedule appointment for Biometrics but that still doesn't resolve that my husband needs to have access to complete the application on VAC.....

Thank you kindly for any guidance...it's greatly appreciated!!!
