Anyone in the NVC IR5 category? I am the petitioner for my elderly parents. I am in the process of collecting and submitting the civil documents. The rest is done.

For those who received their EAD in the past few weeks/months - Are you all getting combo card along with advance parole or just getting the EAD card?

Thought i'd start this thread for october 2022 filers. I submitted my spouse's I-130 application on October 31st 2022. Got the receipt notice the same day. It initially said 8 months but by March it added another 8 months. Today suddenly it changed to an approximate of 3 weeks. Please share your progress and experiences as well.

I have exhausted my Tourist Visa interview reschedules. I called the embassy and they said i can just cancel my interview and pay the fee again and that will allow me to schedule and reschedule my appointment 8 more times.

That's fine, and I understand that but can I submit another DS-160 and schedule the appointment?

Also if i do that will it affect the existing DS-160?

I dont want to risk canceling the one that I already have, because with that one I already have an appointment date guaranteed. In case the new DS-160 cannot get a sooner appointment date than my original DS-160.

As per the immigration rule, if the CR1 visa is issued and if you come to USA through the port of entry after the second year marriage anniversary, if we inform the CBP officer about it and give the copy of marriage certificate, CBP officer will update the visa to IR1 and the we get 10 year GC. Did anyone go through this situation and successfully got IR1 updated with 10 year GC?
