Hi, I recently sent in my AOS package just a few days ago. My husband is in the military and I was wondering if any there are any military spouses out there who recently filed for AOS? Just curious about how long it will take and if it is faster for military spouses. Thank you

This is regarding the K1 lawsuit Judgement.
Without the mandamus nothing will change for us. It s just a waiting game all over again that's what I have understood from the Twitter. They can't refuse but at the same time they are not speeding up the process too.
Has anyone recieved any updates about K1 in their cases or any kind of communication from US CONSULATE MUMBAI in last 2-3 days ?

I fail to understand the situation of K1 visa in India as they are still giving auto generated reply to my email.

Please share your thoughts here.

Hello,

I am going to India to get a court marriage done and get a certificate and apply for CR1 as soon as I am back. The attorney's, however, keep on giving different opinions on getting married via Hindu Marriage Act vs Special Marriage Act.

Since, I want my process to be clear and smooth I want to make sure I am covering all the bases with legitimate paperwork and hence building a clean and clear case for USCIS submission.

Please advise on which Marriage Certificate will be valid for Immigration purposes and also recommend a lawyer if you have someone in mind who helped you.

Filing N400 after moving states

Hello! I recently moved states (mid October). I will be eligible to file N400 by end of November. Do I need to wait a period of time before I can file here? I remember reading somewhere that you need to stay 3 months before you can file at the local office. Also, do I need any support (new state ID etc) to show residence in the new state - and is residence date dependent on those (local DMV is backed up till mid December so getting a state ID before then is not possible). Can I use my lease/mortgage as proof of residence?
