International travel after interview

Hi everyone,

I'm currently waiting for my interview to be scheduled, and it looks like it might happen sometime towards the end of May. We are planning on making a 2-month international trip to our country of birth starting around the time of the interview, and I was wondering if it would be ok to travel after the interview. We would like to not go through the oath ceremony as it would mean that we will have to wait for our US passport, then renunciate our current passport and get a visa (we can't hold dual citizenship).

So would it be possible to delay the oath ceremony for a couple of months after we complete our interview?

Passport details of Beneficiary who has visited US earlier

Hello everyone,

After our naturalization last year, we are proceeding to apply I-130 for my mother.

For the beneficiary, the form asks if the beneficiary was ever in the US in 'Immigration' section for beneficiary. It asks for the beneficiary's passport, travel document ( visa number) and expiry of passport.

Now my mother has visited US on visitor visa earlier. The passport on which she travelled earlier as well as the visitor visa both expired. And now she has a new foreign passport as well as a renewed US Visitor visa ( she has still not travelled with the new visitor visa).

So my question is

1) For the beneficiary's passport - a) do i provide the current passport on which she has NOT travelled but is unexpired one Or B) The old passport on which she entered the US

Similarly,

2) For Travel document number, a) Do I provide the current US visa but she has not travelled on it or b) the old visa number on which she previously entered US.

Hope someone can guide me.

Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone.

I've been trying to contact Mumbai embassy to check how are they conducting interviews on marriage based visas nowadays. But unfortunately I'm not able to connect to them. I'm very anxious and want to know if they've restarted interviewing candidates again after pandemic impediments.

If yes, what's the current timeline.

Is there a huge backlog ?

I hope I get scheduled soon for the interview. I've F2A visa and my NVC documents were reviewed last month only. But I don't know when will they forward my case now and how long will it take for scheduling interview. Any clues ??

We are putting together our I-130 package and are running into the issue that we do not have any evidence from when we first met online in 2013. We have been married for 6 years and living in a third country. In 2013 we were apart and mostly communicating via Yahoo Messenger which was discontinued in 2018. There is no way we can get those chats. How much of a problem will this be, especially since we have ample evidence of our bonafide marriage and we have been married for 6 years? We do not have an age gap or any other major red flags although I had previously petitioned for my ex husband and do not know his present situation since he left me in 2012. His 10 year GC expires in July this year so I assume if he is still in the US and has not naturalized that USCIS knows where he is or will know by the time our case reaches the NVC.
