Case Is Ready To Be Scheduled For An Interview: 6/17

Interview was scheduled notice: 6/23

Interview Date: 8/11

Question: I completed my parents' i-693, envelope was sealed and signed on 6/1 -- is it still valid for the 8/11 interview date?

I was outside US for nearly 6 months and came back recently. I would have to travel in another 2 - 3 months for another couple of months. So, am considering applying for re-entry permit.

- What are the chance of getting 'Notice of Receipt' within 2 - 3 months?
- How does USCIS determine to apply previous biometrics to the current application? The latest biometrics taken off me was in 2017.
- Can we travel outside US with 'Notice of Receipt'?

so our interview, K1 AOS, was 2 months ago. it went well other than the fact that her medical was missing. she had a copy of her immunization, but medical packet was given to officer at the airport. Our IO said she doesn't have my wife's medical. My case status is still under review. I was told to call USCIS after 60 days, But I haven't been able to get through. Her EAD and AP has expired because I didn't reapply 'till after interview, I wasn't expecting anything to go wrong. But its been applied now so we wait, she is not working so we are okay. My question is what can I expect, since only thing that was missing was her medical. ours is straight forward case so I dont see anything else stopping us. I haven't received any letter or email from uscis. I know that USCIS website says we cant make Info pass appointments online. I wish i could just get her medical done again and send it to uscis already.

Extra question when can we expect to receive her EAD. Since it was reapplied it shouldn't take as long. They used her old biometrics. Thank you.

Hi- My question is for other former Indian citizens who went through the OCI process.
I recently acquired US citizenship and have to give up my Indian passport. Am i married or single in the OCI application? Curious to hear how you went ahead with the OCI process.

I KNOW that India does not recognize same sex marriages and therefore i should be "single" on the OCI application form but dont want to run into trouble if, on entry in India, its disclosed that I'm married in a same sex marriage and did not disclose that on my OCI application. Thanks.

I am going to file my AOS application soon and I am concerned about my middle name in passport and other documents being not being present on my birth certificate. In my birth certificate, the name is listed as John Doe and my father's name is listed as Steve Doe. Now, it is customary in my home country to use father's name as the middle name in school etc. As a result, I have been using John Steve Doe in all my documents including Passport, US visa, SSN etc. Will the middle name not being present in the birth certificate be an issue in my i485? Also, is this something that I can explain in a letter sent with my application? Any help is appreciated.
