My dad's sputum test is negative, REL clinic Mumbai has given submitted the report at US consulate Mumbai.

I have following queries

1. Visa status is shown as 'Refused'. What does this mean ?

2. Will US consulate inform us about the interview date or should we go online and try to book the consular interview date?

3. If we try to book on-line, site allows us to take biometric appointment but on consular interview date selection page, we get the message 'there are currently no appointments available. ..

Any information regarding above queries will help us lot.

I'm trying to apply for a B2 Visa Extension and trying to understand how difficult it is to obtain and what would be considered valid reasons.

The opinions are really wide ranging on this. Some say it's extremely difficult to get approved while other's say it's not that difficult at all.

I'm curious as to what the community experience has been and what reasons were given for requesting the stay and if you were granted or denied.

Here are some of the things which are confusing to me:

The top google search says this: Typical reasons for extending B2 visa status includes continuation of tourism activities, social meetings with friends and relatives, and participating in social organizations and functions. In some cases it is prudent to change status from another nonimmigrant visa category to B1 or B2 status.

But some people on the this forum say that's a frivolous reason to request an extension.

Hi All,

I have recently done with my Naturalization Interview, however the Oath was not on the same date. I am still waiting for the Oath.

I have got to Travel to Canada for some Important work for 5-6 days (Just in case there I get my Oath in my USCIS account during those 6 days I can come back immediately). Because after Oath I cannot travel for about 45 days or so till I get the new passport.

Would there be any issue if I travel Internationally at this point in between Interview and Oath ?

How many days Gap between Interview and Oath in St.Louis for you ?

I just got my package back. It says "Signature of person preparing the form, if other than above" block is not a valid signature. I left it blank while printing and wrote N/A along with on all the other blank fields. Should I have left it blank?
