Hello Everyone,

I am Permanent Resident and I filed for my unmarried son who is above 21 years old. I filed I130 for him in F2B category. I am a citizen of India.

My questions are

1) If My son do marriage after I130 approval, then the I130 petition which I filed for him gets revoked?

2) If My son is in USA and file I-485 (when priority date becomes current) after I130 approval and do marriage , then my I130 petition gets revoked or not ?

Today I did live chat with 2 USCIS representative and the first representative said "the I130 petition will not get revoked". the second representative said "Depends on when your son get married within the process of application I-130 being completed after approval. Because your son will have to wait for the interview in his home country in order for him to get approval from them. If you son is in USA and filed I485 and it is in pending then it will not effect him getting green card on F2B application if he do marriage"

I am confused with their answers. Thank you for your help in advance.

Hello, so I recently filled an inquiry on my case status for an i129f. I'm pretty frustrated about the response I got as it truly is basically like getting no response at all. Has anyone else gotten this response recently, and what have you done about it?

I don't understand how there is absolutely no update at all, has my case even been opened? It's over 8 months processing time.

Hi, I applied for removal of conditions on my residence in September 2020. I received I-797 Notice of Action in October 2020 that gave me an extension f 18 months. After that my case status did not change for the next 8 months. Green Card expired in 11/20. My husband wrote to the senator about lack of action on application. Subsequently, they called me for biometrics in July 2021. My case status changed to: scheduled for interview at the end of September 2021. However, I have received no notice from them confirming a date for the interview. I went ahead and filed N-400 application yesterday. I could not keep waiting anymore. I have multiple questions.

1. Is there a possibility that my I-751 will get scheduled for interview before N-400? In that case, will they still do a combined interview? Do I still need to take my spouse along?
2. What happens when the extension period of 18 months expires, does USCIS give another extension?
3. My parents live in India and I have not seen them for past 2 years. I want to visit them. Has anyone ever travelled outside the United States on an expired green card with just the I-797 notice of action? Did you experience any difficulty?

I met with my fianc one time before applying for her K-1(currently: NOA 1), before submitting I asked my immigration attorney if I should visit her once more and submit the second trip evidence as well. He said it is not necessary so we went ahead and submitted with only evidence of the first trip.

He sounded really sure it was not necessary because the minimum requirement is just meeting once in the past 2 years. He said for any additional trips we can submit the evidence once the application is approved, because at that stage we would be sending USCIS income documents as well?

My question is does this actually work? From what I've read USCIS doesn't take additional evidence unless they ask for it, which is fine, but at the interview they will only see one meeting and may not even want to see if you brought evidence from addition meetings.

I'm so confused.

I have filed my I129f on March 4th of 2021. Now the USCIS site shows approval given up to April 4th. However, I did not get any approval.

I called the USICS in August and enquired about the case. They suggested to apply for expedited processing. I thought some extra fee and agreed. Two days later, without asking any supporting documents, they rejected my expedite request.

Is it the reason for the delay in my case? I mean last action taken is showing as August 10 - rejected expedite action. Now my next action may be months later only? Is there any such rule?
