US Immigration from Honduras

Hello Everyone!

My husband has had a B1/B2 long before we met. Our I130 is weeks away from approval, and we are trying to come up with a plan for the NVC/Embassy stage to avoid too much time in separation.

Just a little backstory, I have been living with my husband in his home country of Honduras since we filed the I130. I teach at an international school here, which has the same calendar as the US school system, therefore it is almost time for me to start looking for work in the US starting in August. I need to show proof of reestablishing domicile, while trying to avoid too much separation time. The current wait time for an appointment in the embassy in Honduras is 2-3 months. If all goes well, I am expecting my husband to have his visa by late summer, early fall.

His current B1/B2 visa expires in January 2026, so we think it is not even worth trying to renew, as he is getting an immigrant visa anyway. My question is, can he travel to the US with me up until the time it expires? I am wondering if he can travel with me in late July, while he waits for his interview at the embassy. He will bring plenty of proof of his return to Honduras, and will not be resigning from his job until AFTER he receives his visa.

I know some place tells you. Honduras has many versions of the same thing. Don't want to get RFE'd again. (Last time the documents changed while our package was in transit)

It looks like that as of today the COVID vaccine requirement has been dropped for medical appointments for both Adjustment of Status and Consular Processing!

Seems we are about to start this process. Has it changed much from the last time we went through this is 2017? Somewhere I saw I-130's can be done online is that true or are we still doing packets?

For parents the only evidence you needs is relationship and citizenship correct? (Plus marriage stuffs in the second part)

Is it really about 2 years now? Sheesh.
