US Immigration from Finland

Hello!

We received RFE about my birth certificate which kinda confuses me, since i added it our i-485 application.

RFE said: ''Submit an English translation with the applicant s foreign birth certificate issued by the appropriate civil authority. If the document is in a language other than English, you must submit a copy of the foreign language document and an English translation. For the foreign language document, we will only accept a long-form birth certificate which lists at least one parent''.

I checked the requirments from uscis website and i did send english version of my long form birth certficate with stamp.

So should i order my Finnish version of my birth certificate, since i didin't add that.

Could that be the reason why we got RFE?

Hi, quick question

I'm the foreign beneficiary, my husband is the USC petitioner and our I-130 is pending.

I am traveling to see my husband over the holidays. I'm traveling on ESTA.

Our I-130 was filed under my maiden name. Now my lastname has changed to my husband's name and I have a new passport with my updated lastname.

Should I bring my old passport with me also when I travel? I believe I need to bring it to the interview eventually but just wondering if I need it with me now when traveling too?

We are waiting for our I-130 petition to be approved, receipt notice dated March 5th 2025.

Would it make sense to already start gathering needed documents/getting ready somehow for the next step?

Hello,

I booked my interview, and i couldn't get medical check up earlier than 11 days before the interview. They told it will take 2 weeks to get my results and told they won't be able to get on me in time. Can i go to my interview without them and send them later or do you recommend to re-schedule.

My interview is in Stockholm Sweden. (It was hard to get the interview date since there was 3 options and latest was the one i booked, nothing else was available. And i couldn't book my medical before i had my interview booked.)

Hi, we submitted our I-130 petition in March this year. As we didn't submit the petition online, we dnt have an online account.

Do we receive a letter in mail when our petition is approved? I believe it's not possible to link our petition to an online account as we filed the paper version instead of submitting it online

Also, another question. Our receipt notice said at the bottom "Potomac Service Center " but just below that the address of the Texas Service center....does that mean anything?
