CR1 - will our case be sent to a different processing centre?

Hi all. Me and my partner have decided to go the CR1 route.

We are worried about processing times. We will be filing from Texas, the times are not too bad there, but we are worried it will be transferred to California or something. Is there any reason why our case would be transferred if Texas is processing those forms? Surely there is no reason for it to be transferred, but we don't want to start the process expecting a 12 month wait only for it to be 24 instead.

Any help is much appreciated.

Renew green card or naturalise?

Hello all it has been 10 years since I have needed advice and that time has come for my green card to expire. It expires in March, and I am wondering which is the quickest route renewal or citizenship? I plan to travel outside of the country in July and I am wondering if this effects my decision. Can I travel while one is pending and not the other? Or both, or neither?

thank you.

221g refusal

Hi, I had my interview on friday and was given the yellow 221g slip and was told that I needed to call acro to give the embassay permission to accsess my police record just to check there is nothing else on there. On my record i have 1 arrest when I was 15 for getting in a fight at school. I called them as soon as i left the embassay and sorted that all out.

I looked at the form i was given and the box that was ticked said it was refused because further documentation was needed and written at the bottom of the form was 'NLT check'.

The text on the form underneath the 221g refusal says to submit documents and a sworn statement. They already have my police report and subject accsess along with a statment I wrote so do I need to write another statement explaining what happened again but make it sworn and attach the subject acsess again or not.

I was so nervous I didnt even ask, all i asked was if there is nothing else on there will it be aproved and i got a thumbs up.

If anyone could help I would really apreciate it.

Waiver approved-London Embassy

My husband s I-601 waiver got approved. Like most of this process, they aren t forthcoming with information. The case tracker reads: If you do not receive your approval notice by December 15, 2021 . As I understand it, that s just USCIS mailing a paper copy of the approval notice to him. USCIS notifies the Embassy (London Embassy for us) and they will send a next steps letter detailing whatever he needs to do.

Can anyone speak to how long it typically takes to get the next steps letter?

I read once he has the approval notice he can call the Embassy directly and they can tell him over the phone. Anyone know if that s correct?
