US Immigration from Egypt

So I ve been through the LPR and US citizenship process with my husband so I know how arduous this can all be and the amount of proof needed to get visas and such.

That being said, I m wondering if this raises red flags for anyone. We d like my mother in law to come and stay with us for 3-4 months. We are about to have our first baby so we d like her to help out and visit the US in general. She s in her 60s, a widow and receives a pension. She owns property in her home country (Egypt), has a daughter and 5 grandchildren there so definitely a reason to go back. Does anyone think there s be any issue with us applying for a B2 visa to visit? What s the standard length of time of these visas? Reading online it says it s up to the CBP officer which seems vague.

My husband's visa case was documentarily qualified in April 18. We never received another email from NVC since, due to Covid-19. Therefore, we never had an interview scheduled.

I have seen some members posting about attempting to reschedule their interview themselves through some type of portal/website. Is this only for people who have had their interview scheduled and then canceled? Can we schedule the interview ourselves or do we have to wait for an email from NVC with the interview date?

Hello everyone, we were tired of their lack of transparency or any updates so we emailed them this

next day they gave us a reply that we had no answer to:

The issue is that we haven't had the option to schedule an interview for months now and when I logged in nothing changed so how are we suppose to schedule one? are we the only ones who don't have these options in their dashboard or do you guys have the same problem on ustraveldocs ?

We were hoping for a reply that would be much more specific than this but this is how they replied:

What do they mean by keep trying? how else are we suppose to schedule ? My only hope is they mean it will be open for scheduling soon and to keep looking for it.

Hello everyone,

I received a Case FE Review note saying :

"Please add [intending immigrant name] as [petitioner name] 's Household Member, and submit all of their documents under [intending immigrant name]'s name"

I already have done this and the status of the AOS is accepted in the CEAC website so I'm not sure what exactly should be done.

Has anyone faced this issue before ?
