US Immigration from Egypt

Hello,

We have our interviews scheduled for December 12th. Can anyone please confirm the documents they brought with them to the interview that they needed to get from Egypt? The ones I'm aware of are the updated police certificate, military exemption, birth certificate, medical.

Also any advise for the interview at Cairo would be appreciated. Not too much information out there.

Has any one tried to get a Tourist Visa for the spouse why after the Open there I-130 and if so was it approved or not and what reason for not. I know this is hard to do and government have a lot of issue with it but i have read that there is no law against doing this. Please le me know.

Does anybody know how long it has been taking for the petitioner to recieve notification from NVC after recieving NOA2? My fiance is from Egypt and I recieved our NOA2 on Aug 8th and still have not recieved a case number or instructions on the next steps and it is not suppose to take longer than 4 weeks. I have already sent an inquiry over 2 weeks ago to the public emil given on the website and have not recieved a reply to that either? I am very concerned because the NOA2 has a expiration date, which is only 2 shorts months away ..does anyone know what is expected by this date and if you can request an extension; or explain to me what it means? I am not sure what else to do since NVC does not take calls anymore. Can someone please give me some advice of what to do? Please help

I (petitioner) recently had no choice but to move and my address has changed. We were DQd prior to me moving and are still waiting for our interview to be scheduled at the Cairo embassy. Can anyone advise on how to update my new address?

On the I-130, I put my home country as the place for interview. However, I want to change it to where I m living now. I have an extension to stay here, starting from a business visa then changed to a student visa. All it says on the stamp is that it s an extension of stay, nothing about the purpose. Only that I can stay for 1 year. When my I-130 gets approved, how do I change it when it goes to NVC? Will they let me chance it if it s an extension to stay but doesn t say purpose?How much longer processing time does it add? How long of validity do they need to see on the visa?
