I understand that the K1 visa is meant for those couple who will get married within 90 days of entering the USA. Does the marriage have to take place in the USA? The reason for the question is that this as a debate in a WhatsApp group that i am part of. Some folks seems to think that once your visa is approved that you can get married in the Foreign country if you wanted and then enter the US before the 90 days and legalize that marital union. The way i always understood this is that the beneficiary has to enter the USA and the marriage will need to take place before the 90 days upon entry. Thanks In advance

We had our AOS interview today . Officer handed us a letter stating he needs more time to review our case . Later today our case status said we didn t attend our interview we were definitely there lol the officer reviewed the application I submitted and ask my husband all the security questions . Nothing was asked about our relationship . We have a child together so maybe that s why ?? My concern is the no show part . Will this delay the decision? What can I do ? This was at Los Angeles Field office

Hello All, I have a question about applying for a SSN after arriving on a K1 visa. Once my fiance arrives i know we have to hit the ground running on certain things. Once of my big worries is being able add her and her son to my health insurance because be responsible for 2 uninsured humans can be a huge financial burden if god forbid something happened and a hospital visit was needed. In order for me to add them to my policy i would need to be married and her and her son would need a SSN. Has anyone gone through this process and does it is cause an issue with AOS. Thanks

Hi, My fianc is Cuban and since Trump shut down the US Embassy in Havana, I believe that I am supposed to have my fianc be interviewed in Guyana. I am not entirely sure if this is the correct Embassy. Does anyone know how to pick the correct Embassy to be interviewed at? Thank you, Joel
