Hello! My dad is going to his naturalization interview and I am getting nervous about it. I petitioned him as a naturalized citizen through marriage but now I am not married anymore. My father also got married between obtaining his green card and applying for citizenship however his wife is a non citizen. I understand so many changes may affect his interview and potentially make it more difficult but.. Life happens ; ( What are some potential questions he may be asked? What can he say about his non citizen wife? (His intention is to bring her later to live with him) What documents does he need to take with him? Thank you all!

Hey VisaJourney folks, I made a post a few days ago, as our AOS case status changed to RFE after the interview and we were curious as to what they may be looking for, but we got the letter and now know what they are requesting. The letter says USCIS records indicate that my wife elected not to be vaccinated when we applied for the K visa, and as a result we need to submit a complete Form I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record. The thing is though, she got all her vaccinations in Colombia before coming to the US, and we submitted her medical exam in the sealed envelope when we had our interview in Colombia. We even provided the AOS USCIS interviewer a copy of her vaccinations when we had our interview two weeks ago. Does anyone know why they are asking for this again? Will she have to go get another medical exam? As I said, we submitted the original medical exam in the sealed envelope during our Colombia interview, so we can't just give them a copy of that.

My niece wants to visit us for about 2 weeks, due to covid -19 processing times In Ecuador have increased to 999 days, or just emergency purposes. is it still a good idea to apply now, and just wait until the emergency is over for the interview to be scheduled? will the system rejected the application if she applies now? any tip or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone. My wife and I had our AOS interview last Wednesday. We went through the interview together and everything seemed to go very well, even though at the end the interviewer said she couldn't approve us on the spot (this seems to be normal). Our immigration lawyer was present as well, and he said the fact that the interviewer said we should be hearing from her very soon at the end that it was a good sign we passed and would be getting the green card soon. However, skip forward to today as I check our status on the USCIS website. I've been checking everyday since the interview and it has always been stuck on "Interview has been scheduled", however today it switched to: "Request for Additional Evidence Was Sent On October 27, 2020, we sent a request for additional evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number XXXXXXXXXXXXX. The request for evidence explains what we need from you. We will not take action on your case until we receive the evidence or the deadline to submit it expires. Please follow the instructions in the request for evidence. If you do not receive your request for additional evidence by November 11, 2020, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address." As I said, we thought the interview went really well for us. We had answered everything appropriately, and seemed to have all the documents the interviewer was looking for. Has anyone else had this happen? Would anyone have an idea on what document they may be looking for? And lastly, would this have any delay on us getting our green card, and if so how long should we expect?
