Her passport expires March 2022, wondering if she should get it renewed before the interview, if it happens? The approved petition as been at the NVC since May waiting for the embassy in Bogota. If we do get it renewed, what actions do I need to do and with whom; NVC, USCIS, the embassy? I d hate for her to get to the US with only six months left before it expires.

Hi there. First post for me here. So my girlfriend and I (I m from the US and she is from Colombia) have been together for over a year. We are talking about marriage. We are currently in Chile and have the luxury of moving around a bit. If we do tie the knot, which country is best in SOuth America to file paperwork? And where can I find wait times for spousal visas?

thanks!

Hello, Does anyone know how can I obtain a criminal record from Paran Brasil? My dad is not from Brazil, and he does not have a GR number, but he has a CPF number.

He lives in Colombia now, but he lived in Brazil before.

Is copy of beneficiary’s birth certificate and/or passport required for I-129F petition for K-1 visa?

I would really love it if someone could answer this basic question: is a copy of the beneficiary s birth certificate and/or passport required as supporting documentation for form I-129F???

I m finding conflicting information on various sites. But I am positive that neither the form nor the form instructions ask for this item as supporting evidence. Yet in the RFE thread/master list, it looks like USCIS has asked for this...?

Could my petition be approved/sent to NVC without providing this supporting documentation? At what point would this documentation be required

(e.g. at the interview etc.)????

Many thanks for any help!
