My fiance and I filed for our K1 in December of 2021. We were approved, it went to NVC and was sent to the wrong Embassy. We have jumped through hoops trying to get it to the Embassy where he's at. They accepted the transfer. It's been a few weeks. Has anyone transferred theirs? If so, do any of you know if our case number stays the same, just change the first 3 letters to the letters of the country he's in? Thank you.

Hello, Not sure if this is a dumb question, but would we need documentation of sending money back home to bring parents to the USA? I know it was needed when I applied for my husband, not sure if it would be needed for parents. Thanks!

My wife filled out I-130 applications for my mother-in-law and father-in-law back in March and June of 2022. Both of their cases got approved yesterday. For my mother-in-law's case, USCIS is forwarding the petition to NVC in NH, but for my father-in-law's case they've asked him to fill out Form I-824 (please see attached image). Both of them are overseas and both applications were filled out the same exact way. So we're trying to figure out why my mother-in-law's case was sent to NVC, but for father-in-law's case USCIS asking to fill out Form I-824 for which we would have to pay another filing fee. Anyone had any similar experience?

Hello, everyone! My name is Aria. I am 22 years old. I am a U.S. citizen. I got married to my husband in July 2022 in Bangladesh. He is a Bangladeshi citizen. I have the intention of applying for him to come here so we can be together. My parents are not aware of this marriage, as I have gotten married to him secretly. His family, however, does know and supported our decision completely. I am just not sure how to bring him here as everything seems so confusing. I know I am to file a I-130 form but I had a few questions. I am a student and my income is very low, as I am a part-time student but I do have a friend who meets the requirements to sponsor him. What kind of proof would they require to establish that this marriage is legit? We have a marriage certificate and marriage pictures. He is a student as well and does not have his own bank-account and after researching, I read that they may look at shared bank accounts? We do not have that. What other proofs might they consider as "legit"? Please give me any help or advice! Thanks a lot!
