E-3 Visa Approved at Appointment, CEAC shows approved after interview, two days later changed to refused. No updates. Passport still in consulate according to salesforce website. Is this normal? (told 5 days printing) (merged)

E3 Visa - Timeline

- Approved @ Interview and was told printing is taking a week and they kept. This reflected approved on CEAC on the same day... (Tuesday 14)

- Refused on CEAC (Thursday 16), with the long message:

"A U.S. consular officer has adjudicated and refused your visa application. Please follow any instructions provided by the consular officer. If you were informed by the consular officer that your case was refused for administrative processing, your case will remain refused while undergoing such processing. You will receive another adjudication once such processing is complete. Please be advised that the processing time varies and that you will be contacted if additional information is needed. For more information, please visit TRAVEL.STATE.GOV or the website for the Embassy or Consulate at which you made your visa application.
For more information, please visit U.S. Consulate General Sydney."

I've not received any contact, email or phone call. The Sales force home page (where I made my booking) say Passport is still with Consulate.

Is this something I should be concerned about?

Hey

My situation is possibly a little different.

I am a UK citizen living in Australia as a Permanent Resident and my partner is living in the US.

Basically, I am wanting to move to the US to get engaged and eventually married to my partner.

I understand that I cannot work even once the K1 is granted. Which in all honesty, is fine. We are looking to get the K1 visa and get married and once that's approved, move back to Australia so that I can obtain my Australian Citizenship as this has been a long term goal of mine.

So, our question is, can we do this? Can I get granted the K1 visa and then not worry initially about a work visa/green card, until we move back to the States?

Another question would be, would I be able to visit him long term (on an esta visa, for 3 months at a time), while we wait on the approval of the K1? He is financially able to support us while I do this and I would not be looking to seek any income from the States while there. It would just be so that we could live together during this time, obviously on constant temporary bases.

US Sydney Consulate - Green Card Interview

Hello folks,

Does anyone know how one gets in touch with an actual person at the US Sydney Consulate. I have found it impossible to find out approximately when my Employment Green Card Interview is. The Consulate puts out a word salad statement on their FB page once every few months saying the same thing for my category (currently interviewing DQ Feb. 2021 - this has been repeated for a year now) applications. The entire Green Card process has been miserable, would like to get over the interview process and put this behind me. Any help/guidance would be much appreciated.

Document order for k1 interview Sydney 2023

Does anyone know if there is a particular order in which i should have my k1 interview documents in, ready to hand over when i get to Sydney consulate? If anyone has had a recent interview with the latest procedures or information that is helping would be appreciated.
Also does anyone know what the A number is to write on the back of the 2 passport photos? The ds160 confirmation number is AA, so not sure where to find the A number, its not on my NOA2 or k1-FTP
