Hi All,

My wife's GC expires in June. We already have filed for 10 Year GC and have recevied NOA and biometrics have been done also.

There is a family wedding coming in July and we will have to go, i read in the forum once you file GC extends for 1 year.

is there a seprate NOA we should have received stating GC has been extended for 1 year

or what do i need to do so we can travel after her GC expires.

Thanks.

My NOA (Receipt Notice) for the I-751 came about one month after I sent in my application. It came at the same time as my biometrics appointment letter.

The NOA clearly states that your conditional resident status is extended for a period of one year and that you are employment and travel authorized.

You must take this NOA with you when you travel outside the U.S. as it could be asked for upon re-entry into the U.S., along with the expired Green Card.

Personally, I went to the local USCIS office after getting the first NOA to have my passport stamped. Easier than carrying around that sheet of paper.
