Is there anyone else whose case number from the NOA1 doesn't work with the USCIS case status online site?

Mar 06, 2007: mailed I751!

Mar 09, 2007: I751 arrived at TSC

Mar 13, 2007: checks cleared bank

Mar 24, 2007: biometrics receipt dated Mar 09

Mar 28, 2007: NOA1 dated Mar 09

Mar 28, 2007: biometrics letter dated Mar 22

Apr 06, 2007: biometrics appointment

(Oct 09, 2007: called USCIS: service request sent to TSC)

Jan 31, 2008: case transferred to VSC (last touch date changed from 04/07/07 to 02/01/08)

Feb 01, 2008: touch

Feb 04, 2008: touch

(Feb 05, 2008: infopass appointment)

Feb 07, 2008: transfer notice dated Feb 01, 08

Feb 13, 2008: touch (Current Status: This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred.)

Feb 25, 2008: touch

Apr 11, 2008: approval email! (only took 1 year, 34 days!)

Apr 13, 2008: 2 more approval emails

Apr 16, 2008: email notice: "Approval notice sent"

Apr 18, 2008: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!! card received!

04/22/2010 N400 mailed

05/05/2010 check cashed

05/07/2010 NOA1 dated 05/04/2010

Mine didn't work either. I received ours on Saturday...and it finally started to work yesterday. Try again.

2/10/04 - interview date!!!!!!!Got Visa!!!!

3/11/04 - Massimo arrived in USA...Hurray!!!

4/25/04 - Happily Married in New Jersey

5/12/04 - starting AOS papers

5/17/04 - Mailed I-485, 131, (certified mail) to Newark

7/12/04 - Biometrics for AOS done in NYC

2/1/05 - received interview letter for May 16, 2005

5/16/05 - Successful (and fast) AOS interview in Cherry Hill!!!

3/1/07 - mailed I751 package to VSC - regular mail

3/7/07 - cashed 205.00 check

3/9/07 - cashed 70.00 biometrics check

3/16/07 - received blue receipt notice for biometrics fee

3/24/07 - received NOA extending GC for another year

3/24/07 - received Biometrics appointment letter

4/6/07 - Biometrics appointment in Newark at 9am

4/7/07 - touched

4/11/07 - touched

9/28/07 - email received...Card production ordered!

10/4/07 - received congratulations letter in the mail

10/09/07 - 10 year green card received

I am so excited. I love it when there is progress made in anything dealing with USCIS. Our checks were just cashed. We have the case number in hand, but ours doesn't work either. It must take a few days to get it into the system. I will try again next week. Wouldn't it be nice if the person who opened the envelope and made out the deposit slip could just stamp approved on our cases? Ha...that would be too easy :innocent:

3-22-2007: Sent out I-751

3-24-2007: Received at NSC

3-27-2007: Official USCIS received date

3-30-2007: Both checks cashed and case number received

4-05-2007: NOA1 received in mail with correct case number

4-05-2007: NOA1 case number works online

4-06-2007: Received Biometrics appointment notice

4-17-2007: Biometrics Appointment and TOUCHED :)

5-02-2007: Greencard expires

Dec 2007: Received extention until Dec 2008

5-09-2008: Card production ordered!! FINALLY!!!

Naturalization!!!!

Finally getting around to N-400... Filed under 5 years of PR status

5-11-2010: Sent out N-400 - Phoenix, AZ Lockbox

5-13-2010: Received at Lockbox

5-25-2010: Checks Cashed :)

5-28-2010: NOA received but case number doesn't work

6-04-2010: Case number works online and says RFE sent 6-2-10

6-07-2010: Received letter for biometrics

6-22-2010: Biometrics appointment

7-24-2010: Received interview letter

8-26-2010: Interview-PASSED!!

9-30-2010: Oath Ceremony Indianapolis

My wife's doesn't 'work' yet. But it's only been 10 or 11 days since receipt. No NOAs yet, either, although my stepson has received notice that his status is extened for 1 year.

Update:

The NOAs arrived on 04/04 - dated 3/20, so they clearly weren't mailed (and possibly weren't even printed) on that date.

The Receipt Number on the wife's NOA is different from the LIN# written on the back of the checks.

So, it seems there are at least 3 different receipt #'s?

1st - back of check; 2nd - bio fee receipt; and 3rd - NOA's for appt. notice & ext. letter (same on both NOA's)...

1st & 2nd don't work on the online case status system and the 3rd works for some.

Is this correct, or is each service center different?

P.S. I do know that the 2nd (bio fee #) means something in the system on their end, since we didn't have it with us and it was still included for reference in my husband's passport stamp --- I thought they'd use the NOA #.

the number on the back of our checks never worked. There was a different case number on the NOA1 and it worked! Just got that in the mail yesterday. Best of Luck! :thumbs:
