On my fiance I-134,Affidavit of Support I spelled her name Phuong wrong and spelled it Phoung! Also did it on the I-I29 Petition for Alien Fiancé which has been approved! She turned in her packet #3 yesterday and should be getting her packet 4 soon. Should I just have her leave it alone or ??????[/size]

correct it at the embassy/consulate.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

When is her interview? I would have her correct the spelling, for sure. Otherwise, she's going to have to spell her name wrong on EVERYTHING she signs in the US. If there's a worry about scrutiny at her interview, maybe you could write a letter for her to take to the Consulate explaining that you made a boo-boo in spelling her name when you filed the paperwork... It's not the worst mistake that's ever been made, but still something you may want to just go a little further to explain in case questions arise from it :) Good luck!! :)

We met in October 2007 and our immigration journey started in July 2008 when we filed for the I-129F Fiance Visa petition.
