Hi All,

After submitting to the Vermont Center in June 15th, we just got our NOA2 on Dec 4th. Almost 6 months. Now we're expecting the NVC to process quickly and then send the info to the US Embassy in Japan. Crazy, my fiance and I can't believe the process is actually moving.

We have two questions:

1) What is the average wait time from now (receiving the NOA2) to getting an interview appointment? Specifically, we're interested in what people have experience in Tokyo.

2) We've spotted errors in our applications, which we don't know for sure if they were corrected. Should we contact the NVC for this inquiry, or just bring our evidence and explanations to the interview at the US Embassy?

The errors were missing "Other Name" which is her birth certificate name from another country than where she currently lives. Also, there is a wrong "City of Birth" as Hong Kong is a country, city, and we think province as well.

Thanks!

first congrats on ur approval. i think u've ask this Q B4, but good u scape through uscis, i dont think u need to send any explanation to nvc if they dont ask for it, then she can go to the embassy with any document or explanation she might needed.

Congratulations!!!

But a little warning....don't get too excited just yet. We got our NOA2 back in November 19th, and it still hasn't been sent to the NVC, much less been forwarded onto the US embassy in Japan.....so, I think your expectations of "process quickly" might be a bit unrealistic.

But here's hoping you have better luck than us on that count!

After all the waiting, you get.....more waiting!

What is the next attached we will get from this USCIS web site?

I have just called....quite a few times. (603 334-0700)

If you get an operator, you can ask them, or you can just enter your case number into their automated service line to hear the wonderful recorded message letting you know that NVC has no record of your case yet....

Well that´s probly not gonna happen to them cuz they filed at VSC which means the 4 weeks wait that we get from CSC to NVC might shrink to 4 days wait for them. That´s how it usually goes.

So don´t give your hopes up I think yours will be at NVC fast  Good luck and congratulations :D

Is that tru?? 4 days??

WOW!

Can anybody explain why there are such big difference?

Thanks!

Haha...I said I knew your case number? I don´t think so :P You may like to follow these two threads and you will see that for people who filed at VSC it goes really fast after an approval (usually) and for people who filed at CSC it doesn´t go fast at all.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;#entry1301170

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;#entry1337723

The difference could be that VSC is sending the petitions after they approve them and at CSC they are waiting for crates to be filled in and then they send the whole batch...

Wish you a speedy journey :)

Oops! I can seem how that might have been misunderstood.

I didn't mean "I just called about your case"....I meant "I have just called" as in, calling is the only method I know of to check and see if my case has arrived yet...
