I130 and I129f HELP PLEASE

How can I be sure that the rest of my process will be on time.

The only way you can be sure of anything, is to do it yourself

Your lawyer will work at the speed he works at, as will his assistant. Your priority is your petition, your lawyers priority is every case on his/her books. Most people on here, myself included, don't believe a lawyer is necessary for a straightforward case, some choose to let lawyers do the work for them. Neither way is right, and mistakes can happen either way.

WE paid extra for the K3 service and the work permit and AOS, because you file the K3. As pushbrk mentions filling the K3 that late is a waste of time. If I do the math It might save us a Mont of waiting at this point. So it seems smarter to finish through with the CR1.

There was a recent announcement by USCIS that stated that Naturalization cases file after June 1 will take as long as 18 months. Maybe your lawyer is confusing this with Spouse/Fiance cases. All cases will likely take longer than usual, but the 16-18 month estimate is specifically for Naturalization (citizenship) cases.

As a result, average processing times for certain application types may become longer. In particular, naturalization applications filed after June 1, 2007 may take approximately 16 - 18 months to process.

I hope this is very frustrating .. I see to other cases approved already, with petitions file later that ours and we are yet in waiting

I checked out the USCIS processing times for the CSC https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/Processtim...eviceCenter=CSC

They still show a processing time of 6 months on I-130 apps, and processing I-129F apps from April 29th 2007, thats going on 8 months. I'm guessing your I-130 will be approved long before your i-129f.

I don't see much reason to worry.

Yes, well when you file the two petitions so far apart in time, they don't end up together. I think filing the I-129F in your case was a waste but at least only a waste of time. I suppose it's some sort of free insurance you'll never need.

Hey the reason they were to different places was because my Lawyer gave me the wrong receipt number. He still doesn’t know my NVC number either, because he can't access my information with the incorrect receipt number.

I had an apt at the USCIS today. I made it less than 24 hours. They gave me the correct I130 number. My lawyer filled my K3 3 days after the approval of our I130, which was approved in 67 days. Oh we paid extra for that service too.

Nvc mailed my lawyer bill Oct 16th, my lawyer did not inform us until Nov. 15th. We overnighted check. The NVC does not have the payment yet? My lawyer will not return my calls or email requesting what happened to the check and what is the tracking number.

It seems like we rarely hear anything good about immigration attorneys. I'm glad we went without one.

Wow, that's too bad about your lawyer. I got the basics from a family friend (who is an immigration lawyer) and filed it myself based on her recommendation, saved me a bundle!
