It doesnt bother me either way, but people need to hear the truth, not everyone gets the chance to see how different people have to live.

I am glad the illegal Brazilians are going back home and i will say it again, hopefully they change things now that they have a taste of American life.

There are super rich and awefully poor people right here in the US. The gap is widening ever faster. It's not like we don't have socio-economic issues here. we've got them. Tons of them. Drug gangs running inner cities? We've got those too. Yeah, go ahead. Look out the window.

If you think Brazil is bad, try sub-Saharan Africa sometime. I mean if you really want to see what poverty looks like.

Have you been to the smaller cities like Macae, Angra ??? Have you talked with the Brazilian people who work offshore who get paid #######?? 600 Reals a month!!! Thats not money to live on, and they are getting paid very well compared to what people make on land.

The amount of poverty is staggering, have you been to the Favelas? are you aware of the drug gangs that run the major cities? If you need more references let me know,

otherwise STHU and go visit so you can see for yourself, do some research open your eyes and mind.

So tell Rey #######?? If he is from there he needs to either get his head out of the sandbox or his ### and see the real situation of the people in Brazil.

I have for over the last 10 years and I try my best to tip extra money when I can. In the whole scheme of things the tip is not going to change Brazil, but maybe that person can get something they normally couldnt.

Ohh ... Ohh ... can I play too ???

First comment:

Illegal Brazilians ... bye! Have a nice trip back to Brazil.

Second Comment:

You gotta be kidding ... right? Mighty wide brush you're slinging there. Do you really have a clue ?

Typical BS I get from educated Brazilians, they never answer questions and dont try to help their fellow countrymen.

See, isn't that what we've been saying all along? Make it inconvenient and difficult enough for the illegal crowd and you won't have to worry much about the logistics of deporting folks. They'll find ways to deport themselves. Hope they have a safe trip back! And many followers. ;)

You have to consider, though, that for Brazilian illegal immigrants, most of whom are middle-class and at least somewhat educated, the standard of living they look forward to in Brazil is not much different from here. It's not like they're returning to an impoverished country. So the cost/benefit analysis might look different to someone from an impoverished Guatemalan village who lives in Phoenix.

It's a lot more like the Irish, who are also leaving for similar reasons. Just not on the same scale. (Brazil's standard of living is not on par with Ireland's, which is better than ours.)

Right. I think it's good that the Brazilians are leaving for home, but I'm not sure a middle-class well-educated (by and large) group that is returning home to relative comfort is a situation that generalizes well to other illegal immigrants.

You make it increasingly difficult and inconvenient and the spectrum of candidates for self-deportation will widen. ;)
