I sent in my letter to expedite my case due to military deployment on November 9th. This resulted in a touch, of course.

I called USCIS, they told me that my file was "called for by an Officer" and being reviewed for final approval.

I also emailed them and got a reply back from an actual "Officer" from the "CSC Military" email address. The email said exactly as below:

The petition is with an Officer for Adjudication. Please allow 30 days for action to occur.

Thanks,

Officer M____

This Sunday marks my 30 day mark. My case has not even been touched since the day I sent in my request for expedite. Should I go ahead and email back the Officer or still just wait out until the 30 day point? What could possibly be holding things up?

Thanks for your guidance everyone. I can't begin to say how much I appreciate the insight given on this forum daily.

Daniel just wrote letter stating the reasons how an expedite will hep us to get married before he leaves and faxed the same to the uscis. Faxed it again 2 days later and the case was picked up and we got the approval. U might want to try and fax the letter directly to the uscis.

You had gotten NOA2 after requesting a military expedite???I had called USCIS several times since 09 Nov 2007 and they had told me that they could not expedite an already expedited visa, but I see people who have requested like yourselves' who are being approved... I have been to my local JAG office to get help...What am I doing wrong?? HELP!!!!!

It can't hurt to ask again - after all it was them who advised you 30 days. Of course they might try and say it was 30 working days but you can always quote the direct text :) I can't see them burning your file for calling a few more times to chase things up though :D
