Hi,

I have an interesting question,

Right now, We have received the letter stating that they would be sending the packet to the consulate in my fiancee's home country, My question is, I have been living in China for the past several months, after our application had been submitted,

could it cause any problems during the interview or otherwise?

(we had collected all the paperwork before I left, and we've applied for a K-1 Visa)

Thanks in advance,

David & Siwen

Your presense in China is a positive factor going to the bona fides of the relationship but could impact the financial picture. If you have adequate sponsorship, it should be no problem.

As for the "otherwise" just make sure your stay is backed up by the appropriate visa(s) or extensions or you could have some problems with the Chinese authorities.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

I agree with the others.

In addition, this is such a stressful time, it's better to be together.

It's also good if you can attend the interview - I went to be with my hubby for his.
