ok, news on denial...my fiance told the lawyer that if she sent the divoce papers the package must weigh a lot (23 pages), but if it's true that they only received two copies his b c, then the package must weigh a lot less. so the lawyer said it's a great ideea, she now has the proof that she needed. indeed the package with divorce papers weighs 6.6 lbz, and without it 3.3 lbz...well, doing detective work here :)) ok, so, besides that, we are also sending new plane tickets and pics from our recent trip. that's about it, enjoy! ( do you think this might piss uscis off for calling them liars or something?)

Laura,

what a hell of ordeal yo are going through....just try to keep the tone as reasonable and sensible as possible while dealing and trying to work it out with them. Unfortunately you still depend on them, so calling one of the agents a liar might be a bad idea and might have a negative effect, don't you think?

Do not let your lawyer back out of this now....she has to sort this out for you, now...and make sure you watch every little step she makes. Plus, get copies of all document she sends to the Service Center!!!

Good luck and don't give up!

ofcourse we won't call them a liar, and the lawyer seems to want to do her best. she said herself that she needs to be very diplomatic about this, but we will also assist her.

Well, even if you called them liars, they still have to have a better excuse than that to deny.

I think what she is trying to prove is they misplaced the papers. Not a bad tatic actually when done diplomatially.

I'm not sure how she is going to use this though. I assume she still has to file the motion to reopen.

Ah.

Sure wouldn't hurt.

Sounds to me like she's going at this from the angle of clerical error.
