Hello peeps, hope all are doing well. So my husband is still waiting for his I-485 to be approved (green card).

We were married April 2006. Summer 2006 had biometrics + interview in Houston. Now we live in No. CA and USCIS knows about our change of address. He has his EAD. Today we get a letter "biometrics for the I-485 in Houston Dec 07."

OK. Has any one done Biometrics for the I-485 TWICE? And why make us go to TX?

Thanks...

Biometrics expire after 15 months. If they are finally ready to adjudicate your case, you will be asked to submit new fingerprinting. Many others who have waited awhile for greencards have had this same issue crop up only to have greencards in hand shortly thereafter. There is one person I can recall who did get summonded and kept on pending afterward, however anecdotal evidence supports greencard adjudication shortly after new biometrics.

Thanks LaL. I hope he will get GC soon. But I am worried that if I tell them we now live in CA it will cause a delay.

Oh gosh I am sorry I read that too fast. It's possible they did not update your current/pending application in their system. Dec 7th is really soon, is it possible to get to an infopass appt before then?

If not, heck, I would try to go to your local ASC in California and show them the documentation to see if they will take the prints. Afterward get to an infopass appt anyay to ensure the greencard gets to the proper new address.

Thanks LaL. Good idea to make an InfoPass here in CA and see if they will do Biometrics.

I am pretty sure you could reschedule with an infopass. If not, going to an ASC is a great idea LaL. I did a walk in once and they may take you.

To conclude the saga, we made an InfoPass Appt here in SF and got biometrics done. So all is well, I assume!

Thanks everyone...
