Not the JP. He needs to get the stamped official form from the RGD office where he can get birth papers.

Sorry Dee - when did your hubby receive his green card? And when does it expire?

I think if you apply to lift conditions 90 days before the conditional green card expires then you'll recieve an extension letter so the green card holder can still be employed and travel abroad for one year. We'll filling our paperwork out now :dead: Trust me, I feel your pain. We'll work through the process together.

Happy Friday VJ family.

It expires April 12th, 08

From your timeline, I think I am reading that he has his green card and that next year you will be filing for removal of conditions. Is that right? If so, his green card is his work authorization. The EAD is really just work authorization in the interim till they get the green card.

When you file for the lifting of conditions, he will get a NOA in the mail that will extend everything another year past his green card expiration date. It will say just that.

Yes, your right, but either both the green card and the EAD expire on the same date. 4/12/08. That extention letter will be like gold to my husband next year. He wants to cancel his trip because he feels like he needs to work all he can with the possebility of not being able to work the first part of ther year. He kills me with this "I got be working or I'm a useless piece of #######" mentality. I'm like well  , if you have to stop you'll just stop, we will survive for goodness sake  beside you'll only be away for a few days

What I am wondering about is what they do if they don't process the removal of conditions before the one year expiration date on that NOA. From what I've read lately, it is a possibility for many who have filed.

Guess we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

I guess if that happens, its INFOPASS time. I mean, at that point you have to get some answers. On the same note, I have also heard that you should file the N400 when you become eligible regardless of your I751 status. something else to keep in mind.

Ours hasn't budged since the NOA1.

Yah, I was thinking about that too cause we plan on filing that at the 3 year mark. I haven't looked at it closely; but it probably asks your current status or something. What would you put....in processing lifting of conditions hell??????

Hey Michele How is everything going?

Good Jax. Thanks for asking. How are you and the family doing? Any special programs at school?

Hey Michele. I am glad things are going well for you. My family is doing fine. I have a winter program next week to put on. We had our first winter program on Dec 7th and things went well. I didn't know how the turkey theme would go over but it went well. Thanks for asking. We also decided to find out the sex of the little one on the way. I go in for my appointment tomorrow morning. I wonder if its legs will be open. We thought we wanted a surprise but we want to be prepared we decided. All the best!!

I had to drink 16 ounces of water today an hour before the ultra sound. I started crying cause I had to go to the bathroom. I felt embarrassed today in the doctors office but when you got to go you got to go. They almost didn't let me go. I hate drink water or anything I have to go like every hour. Shauna I can't wait to hear your news. Keep me posted. :)

We recieved a letter from hubby's jobs telling him he needs to submit work autherzation by april 4th,,..BIG SIGH.... Now he's all depressed. I feel like we are starting all over again. I just hate this process. I feel like it will never end. I'm hoping to submit out paper work by the end of Jan. I've been reading that once we submit the application to lift the conditions they will send you a letter extending the green card/ work auth for a year??? Did anyone else gain this understanding??I have anxiety about all of this all over again. On top of learing the Apt people with not put hubbys name on last years lease like I told them too :angry: Why would they change my name to his last name but, not add him to it. I am already fustrated :crying:

Sorry to hear about your situation. You guys are in our prayers. I hope it gets resolved asap. :)
