Hi

I am trying to fill out the I-130 and wanted to know do we have to change her name on the form although her passport still has her maiden name. Does the names have to marriage?

Our marriage certificate has her new maiden name and also the new one. What should we write on the I-130

Hope this makes sense

i believe whatever you do, it is best to make sure all names match. meaning, if you fill out the forms like the I-130 in the new married name, get the passport updated with the new married name.

from what i have read here on the forums, the most important thing is that the name in the VISA they issue must match the name the passport. and the VISA will be issued based on the name you use on the forms.

hopefully that's clear. good luck.

 I agree with chakaas on this one. Whatever you have on the I-130 form, should be uniform all the way from end to finish.
