Questions about interview

Hey all.

Well, I have now been waiting over 4 months for an update to my I-129F petition, still nothing, not even a touch >.<

But, the good news is, my fiancee is comming over to England to be with me for 6 months, hooray, hail how England is a lot more leniant on how long a tourist can stay without a visa ^.^

Anyway, my questions are:

I remember reading and hearing that the petitioner can also attend the Embassy interview, is this true? If so, does it help the interview in terms of showing a bonafied relationship and stuff?

Another, does my fiancee still need to fill out the I-134 even if she doesn't have a job at that current time, if so, will she also need tax returns etc?

Relevant to the affidavit of support, I am getting a job next week, but of course, upon approval of the visa, I will be leaving my job and moving to America. So is there any point me filling out the I-134 or should we leave this mainly down to our Co-Sponsor?

Also I have read in some threads on this forum about how taking proof of a relationship with the petitoners family can help the interview go better. Is this true? If so, would things like: Screenshots of emails etc be proof?

Hi! In regards to the I-134, the US citizen will need to file (whether or not she is employed). You can't file one for yourself. Yes a copy of her taxes are required.

P.S. I read in one interview experience, that they were asked if they could drive and stuff.

Does having a drivers license and being able to drive have any affect on the interview, and if so, does it help the interview or not make a difference.

I've never heard that. It probably doesn't matter. You should ask this question in separate post. You'll probably get more responses that way.

Nick is planning on coming with me to the interview..in Montreal he's allowed in with me, don't know if other consulates allow it or not..but I'm sure a lot do.

There is no bearing on the interview whether the petitioner attends or not.

In most cases, but there are reports where certain embassies require the USC to attend. London is not one of them.

Historically, London allowed fiances to attend, but there have been some reports recently where the USCs were not permitted to enter for the purpose of a K1 interview.

The only reason I would think it might help is because it shows that the petitoner has made the attempt to come for the interview which in a way might show that it can be seen as more serious, both want it more etc.

Just what I thought, but I would still want my fiancee to go to the interview with me.

At my interview they asked how and when we met and when I had visited my fiance in the US. They also asked when I was planning to travel. In respect of finances I was asked for his tax return, Affidavit of support and I also provided proof of my assets (savings account). It was pretty quick but proving you will not be a burden on the state is important so have all your financial proof (co-sponsor forms and tax returns) in place.
