A joke that affects so many people anxiously waiting to be reunited with a loved one is NOT, in the least, funny.

They didn't mean it to be funny. It's a disruptive troll designed to p*ss people off. Hopefully the mods will lock this thread and ban the OP.

I call shenanigans. I hope nobody will take this post seriously.

I called the National Service Center and spoke with someone there and had them research this and they indicated there is no such situation going on with CSC as far as they can tell.

I am not a member of your group here and havent been involved in immigration, however I do

have a friend where I work who brought his wife from England. I have really enjoyed knowing

both of them. She is a wonderful person. My friend asked me to post this news, as he is not

going to be online for a few hours. We are sorry to let you know that the California Service Center

will be closed because we just recieved an employee from there who is infected with the MRSA

virus. This virus has caused several deaths in the US this year. It is an anti-biotic resistant staph

infection. The immigration center will have to be scrubbed and okayed as clear before anyone

is allowed back in the building. We don't know how long the delay will be. My friend or I will come

back online and give you an update when we know something, or you may hear it on the news

by then.

Take care and best wishes to all of you. If I weren't already married, I would think about

an international marriage. It seems so romantic.

well if its a hoax its a good one because they did their homework. Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center is in Mission Viejo California, and is where a sick person in laguna Niguel at the CSC would be taken.

i wonder if CSC would verify it if you called them ?

I looked up mrsa virus on the net and it is referred to as a virus on many sites and articles..

for example this one below I copy pasted I never even heard of this ####### before, geez.

Do We Need To Worry About the MRSA Virus

We have been hearing a lot lately about this supposed ‘new’ super Staphylococcus aureus infection. A new type of Staph that is Methicillin-resistant. Methicillin, a penicillin-type of medicine was the medicine of choice to treat Staph infections, but now the bacteria have become resistant to it and it has become virulent.

This strain of Staph emerged in hospitals decades ago and was resistant to a broad-spectrum of antibiotics commonly used to treat it. This happens to a lot of bacteria when it basically builds up a tolerance to a particular antibiotic to kill it.

Staph is normally found on the skin and generally causes no problems unless there is a cut or scrape on the skin where the staph bacteria may enter the wound and cause an infection.

In the early 1990’s a type of MRSA showed up in a wider community than in hospitals where it was known to flourish, although generally controlled by strict cleansing routines. The MRSA form found in the 1990’s became known as community-associated MRSA or CA-MRSA and is responsible for many serious skin and soft tissue infections and for a serious form of pneumonia.

The cause of MRSA in its present form is antibiotic resistant due to unnecessary antibiotic use in humans, antibiotics in food and water and germ mutations. Decades of excessive and unnecessary antibiotic use can result in super bugs that become immune to antibiotics according to the Mayo Clinic. Doctors have been prescribing for colds, flu and other viral infections that do not respond to antibiotics. Antibiotics are used for bacteria, not for viruses. Doctors will often prescribe antibiotics to someone with a viral infection to ward off a bacteria infection.

Antibiotics can be found in beef cattle, pigs and chickens. These same antibiotics find their way into the water systems with runoff from feedlots contaminating streams and groundwater. Routine feeding of antibiotics to animals is now banned in the European Union and many other industrialized countries.

Even if antibiotics are used in the way they should be, germs still can mutate because antibiotics don’t necessarily destroy every germ they target. A bacteria that survives a treatment with one antibiotic soon learn to resist others and bacteria can mutate much more quickly than new drugs can be produced with some germs becoming nearly resistant to any antibiotic.

The risk factors of contracting MRSA are:

Current or recent hospitalization. According to the Mayo Clinic, a 2007 report from the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology estimates that 1.2 million hospital patients are infected with MRSA each year in the United States.

Residing in a long-term facility. MRSA is more prevalent in these types of facilities because those who do not have the disease, but are consider carriers will spread the disease faster in these facilities than in hospitals.

People that need to use dialysis machines, are catheterized or need to use feeding tubes are also at a higher risk.

Recent antibiotic uses such as treatment with fluoroquinolones or cephalosporin can increase the risk of this disease.

Other risk factors include youths who are often cutting themselves or hurting themselves outside in playgrounds, participating in contact sports, sharing towels or athletic equipment, and living in crowded or unsanitary conditions. Outbreaks of MRSA have occurred in military training camps and in American and European prisons and healthcare workers are also at risk of contacting MRSA.

Making sure to wash your hands often and keep personal items personal. Don’t share personal items such as towels, sheets or razors with others. MRSA spreads on contaminated objects as well as through direct contact. Keep wounds covered and clean with sterile, dry bandages until they heal. When in the hospital, ask hospital workers to wash their hands every time they touch you and ask to be bathed with disposable cloths treated with a disinfectant instead of soap and water. If you need to have an intravenous tube or a catheter inserted in the hospital, insist they are inserted and removed under sterile conditions. Hospitals have reduced MRSA infection dramatically by simply sterilizing when inserting or removing catheters and intravenous tubes.

A joke that affects so many people anxiously waiting to be reunited with a loved one is NOT, in the least, funny.

I suspected that it was a joke a few seconds after I read it. Most here, wouldn't have taken the "bait" anyway. Even if the service center was shut down temporarily, which it's not....I'm guessing it would be shut down for a few hours tops.

Give me a break. What a lame joke. Calinurse, there is noway that you could possibly no the meaning of love. I would venture to guess that you have never experienced it in any capacity what so ever. If and when you ever do find someone and allow your self to love, I hope that you are never seperated from him/her. No. I take that back. Maybe one day you will experience the seperation of being a part from someone that you love more than life itself. Maybe, just maybe, you will be seperated by an entire ocean. Or an entire continent. It is not an easy thing to deal with on a daily basis. There are given moments, when it is down right painful. You wouldn't know the feelings that I have desrcibed, because if you did, you would not have posted a cruel lie, just to momentarily steal the hope of some who would initial beleive a post such as this.

last note...

if this post turns out to be true, I will be the first to apologize. But somehow, I suspect there is not one ioda of thruth behind it.

I'm finished rambling.

keep the faith vj's

love you all!
