You can't go wrong with this recipe! I have used it many times and it's delicious. You can use canned sauce if you don't want to make it.

Also, the garlic bread and ceasar are amazing.

Did you put the sauce on after you baked it or before?

This recipe says to bake for 15 minutes. Perhaps I baked it too long?

So you breaded and fried the chicken yeah? It should still stay crispy with the sauce and cheese.

ETA: maybe your sauce was too watery.

 That's standard to warm ti up.

AS I said I alwasy find it soggy (crispy chicken + sauce = mushy) but perhaps that's why I don't like it!

I was just doing some searching and someone suggested that you put the chicken on top of the sauce instead of puring the sauce over the chicken.... or serve the sauce on the side....

That can be runny....?

Yes it was

T4p Marilyn. Another thing, sauce was in the pan and I put it over the chicken. Maybe that was too much sauce.

PREPARATION:

Whisk together the egg and milk. Dip the chicken breasts in milk and egg mixture and then in bread crumbs. In a skillet with a little olive oil over medium-high heat, brown on both sides until golden. <script>zSB(3,3) Set chicken in a baking dish. Slice 8 pieces of mozzarella cheese and put two on each chicken breast. Pour 1 jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce over all. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and a little more mozzarella and bake at 350° for about 25 to 30 minutes, or until bubbly. Serve with spaghetti, garlic bread and a nice green salad.

From Colleen Haass

The recipe is wrong. After frying the chicken or veal, add the marinara sauce and cheese, and then BROIL for NO MORE THAN 5 MINUTES! 30 minutes in the oven is what made it soggy.

She said she did it for 15 which is quite standard.
