Hello!

I have a friend who is looking to come to the USA on a working visa to join me in California,

Thing is he got a conviction for affray in his youth, it is now over 5 years old and is whats known as spent!

In the past he has been accepted for a 10 year tourist visa, would this stop him getting a working visa in the future?

Any advice would be great thanks!

AOS and EAD Timeline

First Application rejected due to them not receiving $70 for Biometrics, even though I had a receipt from them :-(

Biometrics - Middle of October, don't have exact date sorry

I-485 and I-765 Touched - 10/23/2007

EAD Approved - 10/27/2007

No such thing as a working visa, which Visa does he intend to seek?

Probably best to ask him, his prospective Employer's Immigration Lawyers will know what visa they will be seeking, and also whether his past misdeeds are an issue.

PS US does not recognise UK rehabilitation of offenders law.
