I got that too when I read it, but just wanted to double check. I didn't know if they needed proof that I still reside in Canada.

Wife is at the Consulate now for her interview. I'm about the least likely person you'll find to ever be nervous. For whatever reason, I just don't get nervous. However, I think I'm actually on the verge of it this morning. It's been a long road of long distance life, we're both ready for that part of our relationship to end, so the being together all the time part can start. :)

Wow. I know I'm going to be a nervous wreck in two days. I'm bringing my husband with me since he'll be driving me. I actually don't even know if he is suppose to come with me. If they don't want him to come in, he will probably just wait in the waiting room or back at the hotel for me.

Long drive tomorrow morning for us!

What kind of paperwork did you bring? Other than 'evidence of relationship' type things?

For the Interview I had, they didn't ask for any 'evidence of relationship' stuff at all! It was just questions. Make sure you have your medical and your interview letter, and BOTH of your passports out if BOTH of you are going. It's like the US customs at the gate!

I brought pictures, cards, credit card statements of him purchasing gas and goods in my town, and a few letters. It's hard to have anything else than that since you don't live together or own/lease anything under the same name!

The Interview guy was really nice to us. He will look right into your eyes when you talk to make sure you're telling the truth! >:D

I got my DHL waybill and it arrived at the office yesterday. ONLY TWO DAYS after! I'm picking it up this morning.

So I'm going home tonight! :D

Good luck for everyone going today! Tell the truth! That's it!

I brought emails, yahoo chat logs, pictures of us and never was asked to show anything. One of the times when I was called up to the window to give them my original documents, I saw a big approved stamp on our file. When we were called up to the window for the interview, it was like we were assumed approved. We were not asked any questions of how we met, nothing. I was asked twice about my kids, then she was shocked I had grand children. Everyone was so nice.

Can he use his Nexus pass or does it have to be a passport?

My husband never purchased the Nexus pass for himself over the past 4 years, only a passport. I am unsure if a Nexus would be accepted. I know a Passport does though!
