My Husband had his k3 visa in islamabad Embassy earlier days back,

My husband interview was sucessful ............no objection.

My Husband was told by the Visa Officer Congrat you are approved but we need further adminstrative processing.

Returning passport to my husband visa officer told my husband that we will call you within month, you only need to send us ur passport via any courrier service to our embassy address and we will stamp ur visa.

now i want to know that either this is approval signal ?

would they really call my husband within month time for visa stamp?

i am confuse becuae of the some post i read here in VJ, that when they put you on the AP then u need to take long rest.

can some one tell me that my husband is also put on the same process or its kinda diff acceptance?

would they really call my husband within month time for visa stamp? The bad news is that most men are on AP a minimum of 5-6 months as was with my husbnad. Right now they are doing background checks, security checks and you can have a field investigation during this time and NO ONE can tell you the exact time frame for this to complete and NO ONE can expedite these checks since they are considered a matter of national security. Pray for patience during this time and you can call DOS after 2-3 weeks and they will only say AP but it will give you a peace of mind.

AP does take time especially at Islamabad and in our case it was 5 months if you have not visited the Islamabad forum you should come and read and post there as well for support. I have an ongoing list of all the active members and thier AP status as well listed there. Thank you very very much MaryandMain for your detailed reply, well i was away from net due to eid holidays back in ma home.......any way i got to know that ...i have to wait for ma husband one more year........

well now i m planing to go pakistan n live there till ma husband visa.....coz ma husband miss me & his daughter all time ........i just make my mind that till visa approval i must be with him......

Security checks are on your husband and once they are completed they will contact him with his passport returned. I would say to go and visit him and stay but do be careful of staying out of the country for too long. I am hoping that his processing is like most around 5-6 months or shorter even. If you stay out of the country for one year they can hold up giving him his visa until you come back and establish residence once again. Just something to think about before staying away too long. One lady had this happen and it took them several months after her returning and resubmitting her passport copies, a newspaper with the current date, and new home lease before they looked at her husband's case again and then it needed security checks once again, a new medical, etc. Good luck and enjoy your visit back home to your husband.

Now i will return to my I-130....i wanna tell you that my husband I-130 is also approved and now i am waiting for the papers to fill out by me or fee. i have question regarding thiz

Wat if i come back to pakistan for more than 3-month, who will recieve my mails or who will send them papers here i already have booked a ticket for pak coz there is wed cermony next few days i wanna attend that cermoney too...

Can you tell me how long the petition can be pending after its approval its approval date was 25 June 2007 ......
