Here's what I'm seeing

Since the fee changes, no additional fee is required to file a request for advance parole on Form I-131 and/or employment authorization on Form I-765 when filed with I-485. The total fee is U$S 1010.

You will get a conditional green card, valid for 2 years, after which you have to lift conditions (check the current timelines, I know there's delay with getting the green card but EAD arrives sooner and enables you to work)

As a spouse of a US Citizen, you can apply for citizenship 3 (three) years after approval of your Adjustment of Status. Back at the AOS interview, your passport was stamped with the I-551 stamp and a date. The 3 year countdown begins with that date. This 3 year period does not include long absences from the United States.

Right i get i need to fil the i-185 and pay $1k and file for DHS authorization at $340. Does this sound about right. It says the prosess time is 6 months, but will i need to file again to become a citizen after then??

Thanks.

You will file form I-485 with a fee of $1010 (not more, no less, that's very important).

The DHS authorization you speak of is usually called EAD, and the above $1010 covers it it you file I-485 and I-765 (EAD) concurrently (i.e. in the same package).

Yes, you will need to file again to become a citizen, that's a few years down the road, it's a whole different process and a different form (N-400). A green card holder is not entitled to citizenship, but as a spouse of a US citizen, you may apply for it.

You will also need to file for Removal of Conditions after 2 years (that's before citizenship) -- that is yet another process and yet another form. Read the guides on this site for all the info you need!

And do not forget to thoroughly read the instructions to the form(s) you're filling out and sending.

I assume you came on a K-1 and are now married so suggest you review the AOS guide here on VJ. Also, please update your timeline. Thanks
