Am I understanding correctly, if we apply for the I-485 Adjustment of status and the I-765 Employment Authorization at the same time, that there is only the fee for the I-485?

What about the I-131 (For Advance Parole), is it in the same category, included in the same fee, or is it always a separate fee?

I'm just trying to start getting all of my thoughts, plans, and budget in order, before Annie arrives in January, so we can be ready to get the ball rolling quickly after our wedding..

If it's going to be, it's up to me!

Read page 7 or 8 of the I-131, and I-765 forms.

NOTE: If you filed a Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, as of July 30, 2007,no fee is required to also file a request for advance parole on Form I-131. You may file the I-131 concurrently with your I-485, or you may submit the I-131 at a later date. If you file Form I-131 separately, you must also submit a copy of your Form I-797C, Notice of Action, receipt as evidence of the filing of an I-485 as of July 30, 2007.
http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-131instr.pdf

I-765 has same wording.

The $1010 covers all interim benefits (AP, and EAD)

NOTE: prepare each form as if you are filing them separately, that is each form needs it's own copies of evidence. Keep them separate from each other, but send in same envelope to the Chicago BOX.

Just a side note for you...

When you go looking for a civil surgeon to transfer the shot record over, tell them you need to get a 693a filled out. If you tell them you need to transfer the shot record, all of the offices I talked to wanted to do a complete physical again.

By asking to get a 693a done I got an appointment for tomorrow (Oct. 9th), by asking to transfer shot records all I got was the run around :P

Just goes to show... It's not what you say, it's how you say it!
