Hi friends of VJ. Guessed by his grace every one is doing great.

I have this upseting me for the mistake on my G-325A form. I wrongely typed my date of birth on the G-325A, Biographic Information form. The petition is now approved and is sent to America Embassy in Ghana. I saw this mistake just last week when i was going thru my documents.

My real date of birth is 12- 22- 1967, but I mistakely typed it 12-22-1966. If I tell the Consular it was mistake I typed it . Will they Colsular officer accept and understand me? It given me sleepness night since I notice this mistake.

I will like to know this also, Is the case number given by one according to his/her date of birth? I need each and every one in VJ fast assistance. Is my prayer this mistake don't back fire the whole petition.

All my documents, like passport, date of birth & Baptizm certificate bear my real date of birth. Let me if the Consular shall understand during my intervierw

Thank you.

Welcome to VJ!!!!

Case numbers are not given according to date of birth so you have nothing to worry about there.

I don't know if the biographical form is important at the consular stage or not. When you get the packet 3 you have to fill in biagraphical data on the DS-230 anyway so just make sure it is correct there. If it does come up during the interview then you can explain that it was a typo and show them your birth certificate, passport, etc for proof. Hopefully it should not be a big problem.

If someone else thinks I am way off base then please let me know :)

By the way, our approved petition is on its way to Accra too :)

Good luck!!!

I think just to cover all your bases, call the USCIS here to see what can be done about the error on the g-325a form. Also, you may want to contact the Ghana embassy and once your case has been recieved explain your situation and see what can be done to fix this error prior to the interview date. My guess is once your case has left the USA and sent down to the embassy..the embassy will have the final say in how they will proceed with the small error on the biographic form. It may still be helpful at this point to send a new biographic form along with the other documents needed for the interview.....Good luck and hope all goes well from here on out!

My brother don't call anybody, I'm sure you sent in a copy of your birth certificate. People make mistakes and moreover I could see you're B/A Christian. So the great man of war will fight your battles, just hold your peace.
