I'm going to have to prep my girl slowly and carefully. I'm considering going over for the interview when the time comes. Our case is also straightforward, but I have considered getting a denial.

If that happens I want to know exactly what basis are they making the denial and fight it.

Our situation is pretty straightforward. First marriage, no kids, no criminal records, true relationship, several visits, no matchmakers or pre-set meetings, etc.

The only real way I see a denial is if my fiancee is hiding something important/critical or chokes at the interview to a major degree or she fails to bring enough evidence or preps.

I wonder why the OP was denied.

brother jaseball..good for you .,.good attitude..rememeber, they ask her allot of questions about you and your family..the majority of sanita and other interviews are this

Our interview was cancled due to a lawyer mistake (a very long story) . I flew down to Brazil for her interview knowing I was going to take a chance but hey, I had a lawyer and they said all the paperwork was perfect. I flew to pick her up in Salvador and then we all flew to Rio for interview. The clerks were giving us very strange looks and finally the consulate asked to talk to me - he said our interview was cancled and said to come back in three days IF he could get required paperwork signed off. I could not even look at my baby in the eye cause I was in tears. It really was a miracle that we did get our visa 3 days later and i still think about it today.

Ron, I really hope and pray for your vindication as you both so much deserve.

I'm sorry for the reason of this being brought up, I hope there's some way for you guys to work this out. But I think the question is an important one to ask. Just what is plan B?

For me, if the K1 had been denied back when, my then fiance would have moved to me instead. For us this was about wanting to live our lives together. The "where" was not, and is not of high priority to us.

If, for some obscure reason, I'd get deported now, I, my husband and our 3 dual citizen children, would move to a third country, something new for all of us.

Thanks Bro Dean. I followed your story from the getgo and know what you also went through.
