Hi All,

I'm quickly learning how frustrating this process can be! My fiance and I met here in the U.S. while she was here as an english student. She returned to Thailand upon the expiration of her visa and we submitted the I129F at the end of July (VSC recieved and began processing 24 July). In the meantime, she has expressed the intent to start the process of getting a student visa to earn her Masters Degree here in the States.

If she does this can we continue the fiance visa process while she is here studying? Could this cause problems? We intend to marry and I want to do the best thing that will ensure we can be together going through as little anguish and seperation as possible. Thanks all for your support and help!

2007-07-19: I-129F Sent

2007-07-24: Received and pending (from online check with reiciept # off back of check)

2007-09-24: Called for status since I never recieved NOA1. Given referal number with instructions to call again if nothing changes in 30 days.

2007-11-10: NOA 1 Recieved! Stated that address was "corrected"!?!

With an I-129F filed, it is less likely she will be granted a student visa but if she is, the only complication I can think of is that she would need to return to Thailand for a visa interview.
