My fiance graduated from his university in last Sept. And he got his career in Feb. He has been working at his company about 8months. But, he cannot get his tax return until March 2008. While he was at school, he had a partime job. right now, he is earning above poverty line of course, but he can give only estimate annual income because he has not been working there over one year yet. Should we get co-sponser from his mother who is self-employed? She earns over poverty line and she has no dependents since my fiance has a fulltime job. Does he have to give his bank statement? How much money does he have to have in his bank account? He has to pay for living from his income, so his bank account is not very fat. Anyone help me.

He can just indicate, or calculate if necessary, his current annual salary and then use current pay stubs as supporting evidence.

I will try to be a bit more helpful here.

I would have him get a letter from his employer stating when he started, that it is a full time job, what he will make, etc.

Also the last 5 paystubs is a good idea.

I also got a statement from the bank, telling of all my transactions from the last year, and how much money I have in the bank now.

He still had to pay taxes while he was a dependent, no?

If the taxes says he did not make enough, that is ok, they just want to see he paid taxes. I had to do the same, send in my tax forms saying I didnt make enough. But I did, and it was ok.
