There have been cases where people were denied boarding on an e-ticket if they could not show the credit card that was used to purchase the ticket. As far as I know, this doesn't happen very often anymore, but there's always an outside chance.

After you check with cheapoair, check directly with the airline, sometimes it's cheaper. I paid $612 directly from lufthansa from casa to JFK, and on cheapoair was $639 for the same day.

According to Lufthansa they have to give all information related to every reservation to the US government for security purposes. Hopefully they will not make a big deal out of who paid for the ticket.

My husband flew Lufthansa. No problems. some agents however may not nderstand immigration visas, so be prepared to have all documention with you to allow for boarding.

I remember it happened to me once, but this was almost 10 years ago. I was in college and my mom bought me a flight home. They insisted on seeing her credit card.

I have a question. I used my credit card to pay for my fiance's ticket. is it a problem? I remember that there was a question: who would pay for your ticket to the USA? and he wrote that he would. It was easier for us to do it online using my credit card (he has one, but he goes to a cyber and they steal the numbers). Now I am worried that he may have problems at the port of entry. If asked, he will tell the truth and that he is bringing the money to pay for it. Anybody had a similar experience?

Thank you

No problems for us. I bought his flight on my card and he reimbursed me in cash. It was an e-ticket and he wasnt bothered about it at all. His ease may have been due to a combination of many factors, though. The airports he went through, the airline, the fact that I loaded him down with instructions about where to go, what to do, how to call me, etc. LOL

I bought Ahmed's off cheapoair.com and got a pretty good deal. His was one-way and he didnt encounter any heckling about it.

I just looked and in the one in a trillion chance that my husband could come on Nov 23 it would only cost $308!!! Wow I hope prices stay like that! That's with a 4 + hour layover at JFK though but it would be worth it for the price! Thanks for the link!

Ive had decent success with them. When I originally went looking for Ahmed's ticket it was one of those perfect ones. Lufthansa all the way, one 3-hour connection in Frankfurt and straight to my doorstep for 700 bucks. Unfortunately we didnt act fast enough and it sold out. However, I found almost the exact same flight a week later with one extra connection. So if the perfect flight slips through you fingers, they seem to come up with another one pretty quickly. And as someone else mention, try the airline's website directly, sometimes they have a better deal.

Anyone know if a 4 hour layover at JFK is enough? If not and the cheapest goes through there again what is the minimum that you'd feel comfy with?

Along this same line, I have a round trip ticket to Marrakech leaving this Friday and coming back Oct. 21 going through Amsterdam. However, it looks like he may be able to come back with me. However, cheaptickets.com does not originate flights out of Morocco. So I need to change my flight and get him a one way ticket to fly back with me. Would you suggest going to a travel agency once I get there? Call NWA or Air Maroc? Try to do it online? OR

Also, I probably need to come back through JFK so he can get the temporary work permit, so I can start paying off these bills!!! lol

So, advice Please????
