I beleive in all that. My mom and grandmother has a dream book that I used ALL THE TIME!!!

I remember hearing that there was one. That would be interesting to read.

The other day in our county library, I found a book of anancy stories and also a book of Jamaican proverbs. It was really interesting. I want to read through them again. I think I'm going to look the book up again and buy a copy.

Mi juss ear wan new wan. I'm on the phone talking to my sweets. He asks me what is all the noise. Well, he always tells me that I "flitter" because I don't sit still in one place long, and I'm always doing something. I respond that I was taking dishes from the dishwasher...or putting clothes in the dryer or whatever I happened to be doing when he asked. He told me:

"Yuh man yuh gwaan like sey yuh haunted."

I fell out laughing and he asked me why I was laughing so hard...and I told him about this thread. waaaaaiiiieeeeee... :lol: :lol:

It is not uncommon to see little babies with a piece of red cloth tied around tiny arms, parents do this to prevent duppies from playing with them.

"Duppy you si mi red red" I used to say that little ditty as a little kid, they have the saying that duppies are afraid of the color red, maybe that is where this came from.
