Honestly, in the first place, I wouldn't go into another country, stay illegally and then expect that country to treat me as a citizen. When in that country, I would obey their laws. When you go travelling, do you flagrantly break the law in that country?

granted.

assume you did immigrate illegally into another country to 'better your living'. had a kid. got arrested and deported.

Ok, so he's a US citizen and let's STRETCH and say that she had him here purely for HIS benefit (hmmmm), that she wanted him to receive a US education, etc. So live in a border town and send him to school over the border. ANd then he can go home to his family after school. An eight year old boy does need his family. Is he going to be able to put aside all of the media circus to take advantage of a better education?

And why is it that people think it's so horrible in Mexico? I think in comparison there are several countries where the standard of living is MUCH much worse.

It is not. People just want a free ride in another nation. The little fact that this poor poor country has the richest man in the WORLD always seems to elude the debate.. As well as Mexico being a poor country, even though its GDP is amongst the top 16 nations in the world.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.
