I am wondering right now, what local office I fall under.

My AOS is pending at CSC right now and the last info I got was, that it will be transfered to New Orleans once they catch up a little bit and that I will have an interview there.

Now I am wondering, what determinds, where your case is getting send to!?

I live in Louisiana, so New Orleans sounds right, BUT, NO is about 6 hours driving distance and Dallas is only 2.5 hours. I had my biometrics takn in Dallas as well.

So, is you DO in the State you live in no matter how far away you are or is it the nearest DO?

This would be pretty important for me to know because if my case has to get transfered, then please to Dallas, where they are pretty up to date vs. New Orleans, working on cases from May 2006 (!) right now!

Any ideas??

If NO is your DO due to geographics then that is where you will interview. It is unfortunate for those who live just on the edge of their area as I am presuming that you do. I can only suggest that you make an infopass appointment for Dallas and have a chat with someone there. Whether they will allow a transfer to that office would be interesting to see.

If you have an interview they will schedule it at an office close to you.

But that's exactly what I am getting at: If I get an interview at the closest place, it should be in Dallas. Dallas is processing cases from February 2007, so I am already far outside the processing times. New Orleans is processing cases from June 2006, so I would have to wait a few more months.

IF Dallas would be my DO, I could make an infopass and see what is going on, right? But how do I find out??
