How can you change ur K3 Visa to CR1 Visa after U have the K3 interview

Hi Guys,

I just want to ask if there been a case here wherein you have already ur K3 interview schedule in the embassy then ur CR1 is still in the NVC and almost complete already.

The case is like this: Your K3 visa interview was already finished let say 2 days ago and NVC just submit the CR1 in the embassy where the petitioner is located. In this case can you still have ur CR1 visa eventhough ur K3 interview is already finished.

Please share f your case was like this and u got the CR1 instead or f ever u have an idea, on how to make this possible, to have the CR1 visa instead of K3. Since i'm afraid that my case will be like this since our K3 was already sent to Embassy here and we still not received our IV Bill fee thats why we can't send yet the DS230..

Sure. The applicant can either stay until the CR1 interview is scheduled, or leave and come back for the interview instead of adjusting status.

Since we have now the K3 interview date we are praying and crossing fingers that our case in CR1 will be completed in NVC before my K3 interview date on Oct 5.

My question is: Does it ok if ever we have not yet receive the letter of appointment from NVC on the time of the K3 interview but we have already the schedule of the CR1 interview and got it by Phone from NVC. Do you think its ok for the US Embassy to issue as the CR1 visa instead of K3?

Your inputs will highly be appreciated.

Hi again! I just wrote you two a personal reply in the email. I think you already have seen our timeline. It took about 3 weeks for our case to arrive at the embassy after it was approved at the NVC. It would be worth the wait for the CR1, however, if the embassy has your completed case, you definately can request the CR1 interview on the K3 date.

Our CR1 interview was not scheduled until after almost a month after we had our K3 interview scheduled and yet, it was still exactly 2 weeks later (is all) from the K3 interview. You are in a good situation! Same as us it sounds

Yes we assume, as Rina email me, that by 9/10th we can go ahead and send the DS230 documents assuming the IV bill has been received and processed by NVC. By 9/24th our case will be done with them, hoping that there will be no problems with the documents sent to them with the DS230

I'm just so eager to get the CR1 instead of K3 and praying that this will be granted by USEM..

If the K3 comes up first. Do both.

Sure wish our interview dates had been anywhere near close like they are now. I would have shined on the K3 in a heart beat.

We ended up going thru hell with the K3 adjusting status.
