What paper is used for the I-797C extension notifications?

This probably seems like a strange question, but does anyone have their original I-797C Notice of Action document for a Green Card extension?  Is it printed on the watermarked green paper that is used for other I-797 notices?

 

Background:  My wife's 2 year Green Card was extended for 48 months after filing for Removal of Conditions and she received a Form I-797C as a notice of the extension.  We just returned from travel outside the country and were held up for a bit on reentry when presenting the original Green Card and what might have been a copy of the I-797C.  I say "might have been" because the only extension document we have is on plain white paper with no watermarking.  When we made a copy of it the copy was indistinguishable from the original.

 

The immigration officer was polite and said because the extension notice wasn't the original he would have to have an approval from a superior to OK her reentry.  While we were waiting he said this is not uncommon but we should be sure to travel with the original, which he described as being on watermarked green paper.  At the time I had a visual image of some of the other notices that we've received on this paper and figured we just pulled the copy or the wrong document somehow.  After getting back home to the files I can't find anything else other than another I-797C that looks just like the one we presented.

The original is also printed on very heavy weight paper, more than the typical white paper from most copy machines

Thanks to both of the responders.  I've looked at the "original" we have - I'm assuming it is the original because it has been restapled after we made the copy.  The paper doesn't look any heavier than the regular printer paper we used for printing the copy and I cannot find any watermark or embossed seal on it.  I'm 99.9% sure it's the only communication we've received.  It's a little concerning because the immigration officer said that the Notice of Action is effectively the new green card since the original card has expired.

 

I had some time to kill and thought I'd take a stab at calling the USCIS to ask about this.  I didn't believe it was possible to make their phone system more frustrating, but I was wrong.  Even the "Infopass" workaround seems to have been plugged.
