Who's 'he'? And what change of category? I assume your stepson (going on your other thread) but it would really be better if you kept all questions to that thread rather than hijacking somebody elses. So I'd post over there, giving details and timelines of each of the two cases, and why the change in category (which would normally slow things down). Hopefully then somebody can help you figure things out.

 

 

 

Oh, I apologize.  "He" was the original poster Edwinh.  He mentioned changing from k to IR1 and listed two different DQ dates.

Thanks for clarifying. You referred to him as 'Apple', I'm guessing autocorrect! But where did you see he's changed categories and given another DQ date? I can't see that anywhere.

I think you are correct.  It made me laugh out loud!!!  I might start using that. "Apple" is my new term for "OP".

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..
