But naturalized citizens have A-number. They are not foreigners anymore ;)

Yeah 🤣 🤣 🤣

Naturalized citizens still have their A number attached to them.

Does it mean that we are still Alien?

It means you have an immigration file.

Don't mix up A-number of beneficiary (newly assigned during the I-129F processing) with A-number of petitioner (only applies if petitioner is an immigrant.  For example, because I'm natural born citizen, I will never have an A-number and all our documents have "A-number of petitioner" listed "N/A")

okay thank you! i was really confused about that part because it was the only A number i could find which was given to us in the RFE, thank you for being helpful!

You are still mixed up.  The A number was not given to the couple.  It is given to the foreigner/beneficiary.

Each foreigner has his personal A number unless he is a US citizen Born in the USA.

So, That A number is only for one person not for both.

i am aware. i said "we" because it is our case. i received a number starting with A, following 9 letters in the RFA, this is the only time i have ever seen a number starting with A written down anywhere during this process. are you saying i should write down the petitioner's name and N/A on the A-number section or would this be the beneficiary's name and number. the comments on here are confusing me now 😕

Natural born US Citizens never have an A number, so it is for the Beneficiary.
